The stabilized searchlight can continue to illuminate the target direction even when the vessel is rocking by "memorizing the elevation angle set on the control panel," "detecting the tilted angle of the searchlight and calculating the deviation from the memorized angle," and "converting the calculated angle difference into an electrical signal to activate the elevation motor," thereby reducing the effort required by the operator.
